One of the most important decisions that we make in life has to do with who we date and marry. In fact, it’s a series of decisions.
It’s possible to overcomplicate dating as well as oversimply it. While it’s not good to date around and constantly get a broken heart, neither is it good to be paranoid and constantly afraid of making wrong decisions around dating.
Dating and all the decisions dating are in the distant past for me personally, but as a father and pastor I have the responsibility and opportunity to help others navigate these situations. Back in the day for my own benefit and then throughout the years for others, I have studied the Bible, discussed the issues with others, and read a number of books on the subject.
Recently I compiled some guidelines and questions that give an overview of the approach I believe is Biblical and applicable. I believe it is neither too complicated nor too simple. They’re in the simple graphics below. If you’d like the files to print and hand out to others or to use for yourself, let me know and I’d be happy to pass them along.
The contents are not original to me, but compiled from a wide variety of resources.
Each rule and question could be expanded upon, but hopefully they’re a help.
