It is tragic to read about the attack on Israel by Hamas today.

But for Hamas to have attacked Israel during Sukkot seems unwise. Maybe they thought they would catch them off-guard while they observed this holiday, and they seem to have done just that.
But, while Israel remembers God’s provision & deliverance in the wilderness and anticipates their Messiah their determination to fight for their land will be high. In my mind, it would be like attacking the USA on the 4th of July.
Hamas has fired rockets, killed and wounded many, invaded the southern border, and taken hostages.
I imagine their response will be fierce, & rightly so.
Some news sources are reporting that Israel may seek to wipe out Hamas once and for all. Israel is fighting not only Hamas, but Iran, so the potential for this conflict to intensify is very real.
No nation is perfect, and that includes Israel, but I’ve studied the issue and by every measure Israel belongs in the land and they are in the right.
