Soon, I hope to launch the first installment of what I am calling “The Pulpit and Pew Commentary Series.”
The first book is a commentary on Genesis. Next will most likely be a commentary on Philemon, followed by one on Luke. God willing, others will follow.
My commentary on Genesis aims to cover every chapter and verse. It currently has 80 chapters and is just shy of 700 pages.
Over the next few weeks, I will share the goal and method behind these books.
Here is the first part of the explanation behind this series.
The Pulpit and Pew Commentary series is designed to help two groups: preachers preparing to proclaim God’s Word and believers in the pew who want to better understand and apply it. The goal is to help the reader understand the text accurately and apply its truth to everyday Christian life.
